AXIOLOGY (n): the philosophical and scientific study of one’s goodness, values, and worth.
Axiology by JI is the blog site for The Judgment Index. Headquartered in Tennessee, Judgment Index is a global assessment company. Our values-based assessment uses the science of axiology, which was developed by Robert S. Hartman, to help people understand themselves in ways they never knew possible.
Who was Dr. Robert S. Hartman?

Dr. Hartman spent his Nobel Prize-nominated life’s work, researching and studying values. He was determined in his passion for defining and measuring goodness. He believed that just as one might study chemistry and astronomy as sciences, so might one study the science of values.
This drive was deep-rooted in him because as a young man in Nazi Germany, Dr. Hartman watched Hitler organize and implement evil. He believed that if someone could use BAD with such devastation, surely someone could use GOOD to eliminate hatred and maybe even catch glimpses of world peace.
What is the Judgment Index assessment?
The Judgment Index was born out of one of our founding partner’s work with Dr. Hartman. Dr. Steve Byrum worked with Dr. Hartman for many years, learning directly from the father of modern axiology himself.
The Judgment Index assessment is not an IQ Test, a personality profile, or any “what now” assessment like you have ever taken. With more than 12 quadrillion possible outcomes, the JI is able to show you that you are as unique as your fingerprint. You can walk away with a level of self awareness that you can actualize to live more balanced, happier, and healthier.
Organizations are able to hire to best performers, train, and develop their people to positively impact bottom lines and corporate cultures. Executive, Life, and Athletic Coaches are able to provide next level of support to their clients and teams.
